In the summer of 2020, I was invited to paint a speed mural at The Boxcar, Vancouver. Each artist was given a limited time and limited colour scheme to complete their mural with. This was such a creative event with several other artists participating, each with their own unique style. I stuck with an old favourite- Tigers.

Over 6 weeks in April-May 2020, Vancouver Mural Festival teamed up with local artists, Business Associations, Vancity Credit Union, City of Vancouver and Goodbye Graffiti to create temporary murals on storefronts boarded up during the COVID-19 pandemic. The result was 60 incredible murals to inspire hope, brighten streets, celebrate resilience and connect communities.

‘For You’ 100 Amigos Show

El Kartel and Drew Young are proud to invite you to the comeback of this legendary 100+ works exhibition after an eight year hiatus. Our aim: Celebrate and uncover some of the city’s most exciting visual artists from a full spectrum of traditional mediums.

Since 2003, El Kartel has been a staple when it comes to accessing the alternative and emerging arts community. Pablo Zamudio and his team have exhibited thousands of works, hosted countless attendees and, most importantly, continue to carve out space for artists in a city where brick and mortar has nearly become a fantasy.

Accompanying the exhibit will be a weekend long Print Archive Exhibition presented/produced by The Jaunt from the Netherlands. The Jaunt is an incredibly unique project, sending artists all over the globe to realize their creative vision. During their trip, they create a limited run of silk-screen prints inspired by their adventures to help support their venture.  http://www.thejaunt.net

Did you know that 2018 marks Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary? To celebrate this major milestone, Disney has announced a big art exhibition opening in Melbourne this summer that will honour the cartoon mouse’s legacy.

The Mickey-inspired art exhibition has been unveiled at Melbourne Central’s Shot Tower and is set to stick around all summer. The exhibition includes the work of 90 different artists who have created 90 original pieces all celebrating Mickey and his ongoing footprint (or should we say ear-print?)

The exhibition has been produced by Radio Velvet and includes work from a host of local and international talent. For the super fans, there will also be a range of Mickey-inspired merchandise for sale at the Arthouse.
